KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Drafts, reviews, negotiates and finalizes a high volume of commercial contracts, including dealer agreements, advertising and promotional agreements, sponsorship contracts, vendor contracts and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
- Manages the company’s contract management process to ensure proper execution, tracking and compliance with all contractual obligations.
- Serves as the immediate point of contract of the Data Protection Officer for all matters related to the Data Privacy (DPA) within the Sales and Marketing Office.
- Oversees the legal handling of consumer complaints, coordinating responses, ensuring timely and compliant resolutions.
- Assists in the preparation of legal pleadings, notices and formal responses to demand letters, complaints or regulatory notices directed at the Sales and Marketing Office.
- Coordinates the gathering of necessary evidence, documentation, and witness information for active or anticipated legal disputes.
- Conducts in-depth legal research and analysis on complex commercial law, intellectual property, labor and regulatory issues relevant to the motorcycle industry and sales operations.
- Provides legal and administrative support to the head of Legal Section, including summarizing case law, preparing legal memoranda, and organizing departmental documentation.
- Coordinates and prepares administrative reports required by the Legal Section regarding ongoing cases, compliance status and contract volumes for the Sales and Marketing Office.
- Assists in the thorough review of all legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements before execution.
- Ensures that business practices and documentation within the Sales and Marketing Office are consistent with established corporate policies and legal best practices.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Graduate.
- Admitted to BAR and in a good standing.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a law firm setting or in-house legal department
- Experience in automotive, manufacturing or consumer goods industry.
- Proven experience working directly with Sales or Marketing teams.
- Knowledge of Commercial Law and Contract Principles; Data Privacy Act (DPA) and its regulations.
- Strong knowledge of Consumer Protection Laws and advertising standards.
- Familiarity with Intellectual Property laws (trademarks, copyrights) as they relate to advertising is advantage.
- Knowledge of regulatory bodies specific to the industry (e.g product safety standards).
- Proficiency in using Contract Management System or specialized document management software.
